Revival

Easter weekend was lovely. A small group of us went northwards for a weekend of revival. Both days were filled with inspiring messages, singing, prayers and group discussions.  It was a very full weekend and as a result, he and I didn’t spend much time alone.

The ride home was a fun one. We were accompanied by two dear friends of ours. We laughed a good deal but we also shared some deep discussions. Time flew by quickly. Because of their obligations, we decided to drop them each off at their destinations, kill some time and pick them up in a few hours. He and I drove to a small waterfalls nearby and found a spot to sit alongside the rivers edge. We talked for about two hours, sharing our hearts from the weekend, and talking about the future. He encouraged me so much when he said, “Even now, I would like to put into practice the principal of spiritual leadership.”

Later we picked up our friends and drove to the place where our cars were parked. The atmosphere quaked in the presence of God. After a spiritually powerful weekend we felt drawn to prayer. The four of us sat in the darkened car and prayed for two hours. Tears were shed. Hearts were opened. The presence of the Lord was very near. Sometime after midnight we sang and said our goodbyes. We each went our separate ways, but we all had a single passionate desire to serve the Lord no matter what!

“quaking in the presence of God.”

Beautiful! “In Thy presence is fullness of joy” (ps. 16)
