One Year

A year ago he asked me how I felt about a relationship with him. Now here we were, engaged with our wedding day only a month away. He took me out to Pappadeaux, a fancy seafood kitchen and we shared a wonderful meal. Next we drove to the river and rode the duck, which is an amphibious tour bus. We both enjoy history so it was a blast. The next stop was the fudge shoppe. We got a large piece of rich fudge and walked along the riverside. The water reflected the city lights. It was beautiful.

He teased me about the upcoming batchlorette party and told me “Don’t let those girls talk you out of marrying me.”
I had to smile. Nothing could.
