A house for a home

The Lord is so faithful! He continues to show us His power in so many ways. There were 2 big things on our to do list that needed to happen. #1 was to sell our house. #2 was to find one to rent in Coshocton. The Lord has provided for both of them in such amazing ways.

The thought of selling a house sounded daunting.IMG_3182

I envisioned endless showing after showing, and the dreadful thought of trying to keep a spotless house with a baby and a toddler. Brad was worried that we would have an empty house for months after we moved. We had only briefly mentioned the that our home was for sale in our
newsletter. 4 days later we got a phone call and had a showing. And of course, God worked it all out before we got a realtor involved! We now have a closing date January 14th, two days before we move. Sometimes I wonder why we ever doubt the power of God.

#2 on our list is also a miracle. Before we began to look at houses we had a couple of things that we would like to find in a house:

  1. In the country, we admit we are country bumpkins
  2. Yard space, for our highly active toddler
  3. We wanted to be able to bring our dog, Rosie
  4. Three bedrooms, because we will be living under 3 hours from friends and family, we wanted to have a room for them when they come to visit.

We went to Coshocton 2 weeks ago with a list of 4 houses that we were going to see. All but one house had 2 bedrooms, and the 3 bedroom house was located on the busiest road in Coshocton, with zero yard space. We found another one that we liked quite a bit, which was funny, because it wasn’t anything like we had envisioned. It was in town, on a street that was somewhat busy, it was a duplex and had 2 bedrooms. However, we decided that we could live there, so we put in an application. The landlord took a long time getting us the application and then getting back with us. In the meantime, someone from MMS called us and told us about a house in the country that was for rent. We went and looked at it last Friday. It has 3 bedrooms, a yard, Rosie can come and its in the country! God again orchestrated everything in His way. We signed a contract on the house and will be moving in January 16th.
