This girl….
She has blessed me in so many ways. The past couple of weeks especially, she has been a sunbeam of light and laughter to us. Her expressions, words, antics and giggles seem to get funnier and cuter. Her personality is developing layers instead of being two dimensional. The thing that has really made me feel so, humbled by is her eagerness to serve. For example, a few nights ago it was time for bed and she was sitting on a chair reading a book. I walked into her room and asked her if she would help me pick up her toys before bedtime. She looked up from her book and a big smile spread across her face. Without question or delay, she hopped up and helped me organize her toys into their appropriate bins and put them up. I came away from that experience, deeply humbled, and in awe of God’s goodness.
“Children are a heritage….” Children are such a blessing.” I’ve heard those phrases all my life but it never truly made sense, until now. She blesses me every day, with a smile, a “Hi Momma!” a hug or a moment when we just bond. I love the servant heart that the Lord is cultivating in her. No doubt He is creating a beautiful young lady to love Him.
