This past weekend we went to visit the orchard. It is a quiet place. Peaceful and serene with the smell of citrus tinging the air. The orchard was designed to be a retreat for missionaries in Zambia. A place to pray, rest and regroup. The orchard is home to two guest houses. The traditional type, small brick houses with grass roofs. The houses each have two bedrooms, bathroom, small kitchen and a living room.
The orchard has an abundant supply of fruit. There are raspberries and grapes which are currently not in season. The fruit bearing trees include: lemon, limes, oranges, grapefruit, pomelo. There are also kumquat and mango trees but they are not in season right now either. Pineapple fields are abundant around here so we can readily buy fresh pineapple from the market.
She enjoys playing on the swing at the orchard. It’s a must in her book,
I’m so thankful that we have a God who gives us life more abundant and free.
“Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.”
Psalms 40:5

Now all of this, I understand! Except a pomelo…never saw or heard of one of those…would be interesting to know what it tastes like. I am glad you were able to enjoy that time away. I am sure the time is going fast for you. Our love and prayers, Mike and Sue Ann
