A day of worship is ahead of us, a busy week is behind us. The week had a few out of the ordinary events plus a great bonus -spring!!! The main highlight of our week was a pastor’s appreciation lunch that MMS hosted. We invited pastors from all the different churches in the Coshocton area. I didn’t get the exact count but I think we had 40 pastors and some of their wives come.

Meet Dan. He is the Director of Human Resources and the meat guy. When there is an event that requires grilling, he is the pro. MMS provided the meat and the rest of us pitched in and brought something to go along.
Here is this handsome guy that I found in the parking lot. I say! One never knows what they will find in random places! Brad had the chilly job of being the parking attendant. He remarked, “It might be chilly, but I got to meet every single person that came!”

After the meal the visitors were able to take a self guided tour of the hangars. MMS had thoughtfully and carefully set up stations throughout the hangars. They were manned by the staff and apprentices who were more than happy to answer a question or to give a demonstration. Who knows what a cleco is? I do now.
A cleco, also spelled generically cleko, is a fastener developed by the Cleveland Pneumatic Tool Company. Widely used in the manufacture and repair of aluminum-skinned aircraft, it is used to temporarily fasten sheets of material together, or to pieces such as stiffeners, before the pieces are permanently joined.
Or, for those not mechanically minded (e.g. me), it just makes the airplane look like a porcupine.
Earlier in the week, several of us apprentice women met at church to prepare freezer meals. Our mission is to have meals on hand so that when a need arises (someone from church or the community or wherever), we can have some meals on hand to readily give out. We spent the evening together and made 12 meals. It was good to get our hands dirty and to turn our hearts towards serving others. I’m thankful for these ladies in my life.
