Quick Update From Florida

We are in our last week in Florida. I have four more working days to get the Seneca’s engines running, and there are more bumps in the road. The engines are substantially finished, but as large projects go there is almost more time in the finishing details than what has already been spent. I am waiting on a few more parts to arrive; if everything goes as planned I think I can make some noise before the end of the week. Last night I learned of a slight setback: the mechanic I have been working under is leaving for another part of the country for his mother’s funeral. This is the same family whose chronic illness necessitated our coming in the first place. We are all sad for their loss, but they continue to demonstrate a faith that is more than just talk.

Other Happenings

While in Florida, we have taken the time to enjoy some of what it offers. We spent last weekend in Sarasota where we met some new friends and enjoyed their fellowship. We also got to watch a couple of sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. God paints “a picture that no painter’s got the colorin’ to mock”.(1)

On Independence Day, we watched the Hardee County fireworks show

I’ve even had the opportunity to do some flying. Harvest has an airplane available, so I’ve taken advantage of it. It helps me build valuable flying time, and helps Harvest a little bit with cash flow. The following photo is looking across the Tampa Bay towards St. Petersburg.

As you can see, things have not been dull here. We are getting a lot of work done, but we’re also seeing a lot of interesting things.

Prayer Requests

  • Please continue to pray for the staff family I mentioned. Thanks be to God that the medical situation is looking positive. However, now they are faced with the death of their mother and grandmother in another state.
  • Pray that all the necessary airplane parts will get here on time.
  • Pray that I will have wisdom and a keen eye to make sure the engines are safe for operation.
  • Pray for new developments that are happening locally and in Belize for Harvest Aviation. They are positioned for significant growth, if God opens doors and send the people, connections, and finances.

Thank you for your continual interest in our ministry and family life. If everyone had the kind of friends we have, the world would be a better place to live.

I’ll be praying for God to work out the final details this week. May the seeds you’ve sown there grow into a bountiful harvest. (See you soon)

God ALWAYS knows the outcome and it’s always His plan if we continue to pray for His will. May He bless you as you finish your assignment in Florida and keep you safe as you return to Ohio! We look forward to seeing you soon!
