Rapid Response Trip To Florida

Harvest Aviation is a Christian ministry based in central Florida. Their mission is to transport supplies to missionaries around the Caribbean, particularly in Belize. They operate a couple of airplanes, which are maintained by staff and volunteer mechanics. One of the mechanics has some medical issues in the family which are keeping him out of the hangar. He has been in the process of refurbishing a Piper Seneca, and the project is stalled because of his necessary time away. MMS Aviation has agreed to send Rapid Response mechanic to help push the refurbishment project forward. As you may have guessed, we are the family going.

We plan to leave for Florida early in June and return to Ohio mid-July.

Prayer Requests

If you remember us before the Lord, we would be grateful. Here are some specific requests:

• Pray for the family with the medical need. They have been down this road before, and the prospect of facing it again is dispiriting.
• Pray for effectiveness as I help get the Seneca back into service. It’s easy to get overwhelmed on large projects, and this one has been going for a couple years. My prayer is to not only make progress, but to be a morale booster for the folks who have already put so much effort into preparing the airplane for service.
• We do not yet have a place to live. We don’t really want to stay in a motel for a month, and we haven’t found a short-term rental option that will work. A basement, a mobile home… even a camper might work for a few weeks. Pray that we can make a connection with the right people.
• Pray for transportation. I hope to be able to get to the airport without taking the car every day, so Crystal can get out and do what she needs to do for our family.
