Blessings In Isolation

This is a time worthy of praise for the King of Kings! Even though it’s a time of disappointments, shortages, and isolation God is still in control. He is still working, He hasn’t abandoned us.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

In times like these when we cannot even leave our homes we can still bless and serve others; we can be in prayer for our brothers and sisters around the world. We can order groceries and have them delivered to older people, or perhaps someone who we know is struggling financially. With technology we can even import ourselves to someone else living room and chat with a family who may need encouraged. Yes we may be stuck at home but our calling hasn’t changed. We can still be God’s vessels.

If you like this type of music this song has been a blessing to me.

The country of Honduras is currently under quarantine until March 29th. It started last week on the 14th, with no going out unless we needed groceries or a hospital. Last night they tightened the restrictions. No longer can people go to the supermarkets, we now have the option of ordering groceries and having them delivered; which I think is a new thing here. The markets and little pulperias (tiny convenience shops) are still open and we are are allowed to walk to the closest one if we need something. All borders are closed with the exception of cargo.

We are getting along well, everyone in the house is getting a little stir crazy, but I’m so thankful the kids have a yard to play in and neighbors from our apartment building to play with.

Being creative with boxes and water jugs.
With limited art supplies, she made this sloth for the Cincinnati Zoo Home Safari.

Blessings, and stay healthy!

Thank you Crystal for this glimpse into your life! I enjoyed the song you shared. I hope you all stay healthy and safe.
Our son and family in Belize see panic and fear in the people there. Their borders are closed and the fact that no cruises are permitted from the US affects the country’s economy directly.
We commit it all to our Heavenly Father.
