Today we said goodbye a second time to our homey apartment in Siguatepeque and made the drive to Tegucigalpa, the Honduran capital.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we wake up and get ready to go to the airport. I have to pick up some legal papers that will hopefully make our travel smoother, then we will load up and go the the airport.
Missing our first flight was frustrating, but there have been several blessings:
- We got make the pretty drive between the cities two extra times.
- I had the chance to take care of some things for the vehicle we are leaving here, to better prepare it for parking.
- We got to learn more about trusting God for details that are out of our control.
- We gained a little more flexibility for our return date.
All in all, we aren’t out much except for the stressing. I’m sitting on a balcony with a beautiful view of the city, thanking God that we are all together, healthy, and safe.
Thank you for praying that everything goes smoothly Tuesday morning. To God be the glory.
Update 12:30 EDT:
We cruised right through this morning. We passed several police checkpoints without being stopped, and the immigration agents didn’t have any problems at all with our documents this time. We are sitting at the gate waiting for the airplane to arrive. Praise God for answered prayers!
