One thing that happens here is that its easy to loose track of the time. Not just the hour of the day but even the days of the week strangely seem to dissipate. Some may say that life here is stuck in a time warp and while that may feel true in some instances, the truth is time is fleeting. This current season has been extremely busy. It seems like when something big happens, lots of other things all happen at the same time. This week, Lord willing, the contents from the shipping container will be delivered, followed by another move for us. (We are moving to the duplex just down the runway) It won’t be a big move because we can just carry stuff to the other house but it’s still a big process. Next week two MAG families are arriving, one is just here for a few weeks and the other is moving here.
So much work, not enough time. This phrase has never seemed so real. Awhile back we were really feeling burdened and in the need of some outside helpers. God brought together a small group of men from our home church in Ohio. They came not only bringing themselves but also gifts and cards from dear people in the congregation. We felt so loved and cared for. Our children got letters from their friends, and I got my chocolate chip supply replenished! The guys worked hard and got much more done than we expected. They got to experience life here in Rus Rus, eating rice and beans, listening to sermons in Spanish and Miskito, dealing with the joys of chiggers and trying out their newly acquired Spanish words. We had lots of good laughs, and enjoyed the fellowship immensely.
The body of Christ is a beautiful thing. I’m awestruck at how God uses so many people from all different backgrounds and nationality, with different gifts and talents and makes such a beautiful tapestry. Each life is a thread and every thread is important. We all have the same task though it may come in different forms. May our lives be a hallelujah.

Praying always as our Lord blesses you and your family and then through those very blessing blesses others too!
This is beautiful! I’m so thankful for the men who came with muscles and stamina and, most importantly, encouragement! Bless you friends! We love you 💜
