The Lord has been good. Here is a recap of some of the things we’ve been up to in the last few months.
A dear woman from our village passed away and we went to our first funeral in La Mosquitia.
This year so far, we’ve taken water filters to three different communities. After an overview of why it’s important to drink filtered water and a short devotional, we guided them in assembling their filters.
Dry season was very prolonged so we spent a lot of time going to the river to bathe and wash laundry. Though it has been challenging to not have running water in our house during the drought; we have learned to live as our neighbors do, and have even enjoyed the time spent hauling water.
With the help of our colleagues, we hosted and helped teach a 2 day marriage conference.
In a community nearby there is a group of believers who have no church building and are hungry for the Bible. One day we went to encourage them in the Word.
Our lives have been very full of opportunities to serve those around us. We cannot say yes to everything and we always need to Lord’s guidance to do His will. Please pray for us in this. In the next month or so we will be returning to the states for furlough. We would be so appreciative of your prayers as we begin to tie up loose ends and also to prepare and schedule for our time away.

Your blog brings back so many really good memories. My daughter and I spent a month in April studying Spanish with the Wolfe family in Seguatepecque.
Love, love, love reading about your life work serving our Jesus! I also love to see how your precious family is growing up and learning so many things they couldn’t learn living here. Life long lessons for everyone! Prayers always. . . . Charlene
