Until we meet again

Little piles of ‘treasure’ are here and there. Crumbs under the toaster tell of mornings that have passed. Clean laundry is folded and packed away. It’s time for us to turn our focus back to Honduras. SIM cards are exchanged, currency is swapped, and we begin to think in Spanish. As always the time has passed quickly. In one sense we feel like we’ve been away for years and feel an odd sense of disconnect with life in Rus Rus, while in another sense it seems like yesterday we were just saying goodbye. Either way, home is calling to us and we are ready to go back.

We’ve been so encouraged by family, friends, and our organization. Before we arrived we were wondering how to even accomplish all the things we needed to do in the time we had here in the States, but God is good. He provided ways to get the check list complete. Brad was able to get several big tasks done and overall it seemed like our time here was incredibly smooth and without hitch. We have been very blessed. Our cups are running over and our tanks full. We look toward the next two years with fresh eyes and excitement. We cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store.

Tomorrow we fly back home. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and gather the supplies we need in the city before we complete the final leg to our village. May the Lord be with you all!

It was so lovely to get to spend some time with you and develop a deeper connection to you, your home of Rus Rus, and the ministry the Lord is working there. As my grandpa always said upon parting, “God be with you!” I know he is.

Blessings as you travel back home, settle back in and minister. I am sad I didn’t get a chance to connect very much this time. I love how you summed up this stage of going back. It makes perfect sense.

It was a huge blessing to be able to hear you share your heart about the people of Honduras and Rus Rus specifically. And to get to sit and just chat with y’all was a special treat! The kids have grown so much. I have replaced the first prayer card I had of you when you originally headed off to Honduras and Elsie was that little baby with this recent picture of your family. Praying over each of you that God brings many to Himself through your presence and witness of His Gospel, and that He continues to grow and draw each of the Hoblit family closer and deeper in their own relationships with Him.

May JESUS and HIS plan be magnified in your every day life, and especially as you travel and return.
