The other day I was carrying the baby around the house and the song ‘How Beautiful’ by Twila Paris came on my Pandora station. One of the lines say “How beautiful the hands that serve…” I couldn’t help but look down at her tiny hands and shake my head in awe. Perhaps someday these tiny hands will be ministering to sick or needy people in a far away land.
These tiny feet, where will they go? Will they be shod with the proclamation of the gospel? I pray that they will “Walk the long dusty road and the hill to the cross.”
The last chorus says “How beautiful, the radiant bride who waits for her groom with his light in her eyes.” At that moment she was intently gazing up at the ceiling fan, her big blue eyes riveted. I had to swallow a lump in my throat, may she fix those eyes on Jesus.
