Thankfulness

The Lord is a great God. How marvelous are His ways. Spring time always brings joy to my heart and causes me to worship our maker. I admit, I’m very much a warm weather and sunshine person. There is nothing quite like basking in the warm rays and letting my senses come alive. The gentle breeze, the birds singing… sigh. As I sit in the sunshine with my eyes closed, my mind comes alive with praises. I can’t help it, and I don’t want to. God deserves all glory. How I long to have my head filled with praises all day long. Every moment. During the sunshine moments and when I get behind that slow driver on the road. Why is it so easy to be thankful only when we feel like it? There are so many verses in the Bible that instruct us to give thanks,

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.”

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ for you.”

“I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.”

Join me today to give thanks. (even though it’s raining)  Let us resolve to be good stewards and a thankful body of Christ. Let us resolve to sing in prison, like Paul and Silas, and to praise the Lord always in every circumstance.
