Our little girl is growing up! We celebrated Easter last weekend with her and it was so much fun. Both of the pictures above were taken on Easter day, one last year and one this year.  I can hardly believe how much she has changed. Gone are the days of lying on her back unable to move. She is a full blown toddler. Brad and I have been so delighted as her communication skills improve daily. Here are a few things that she does/says

She moos at cows.

Says “dada, momma, duck, kitty.”

Can point out nearly every farm animal.

Growls at lions.

At our house reading books is taken very seriously. We start with 1, move on to 2 and end with 6 or 7. She loves being read to and I’m so thankful that she does. Yes, it does take a lot of time on our part, and yes, when I’m trying to vacuum the house and she is tugging on my skirt with another book in her hand it can be a bit frustrating. But the times when I stop what I’m doing and pull her onto my lap for the third reading of Dr. Suess it is totally worth it. She snuggles in and pops two fingers in her mouth (her typical story posture) and drinks it all in. I’m so blessed, indeed I am.
