As we’ve moved…

A week ago we moved to North Carolina. The day we loaded the truck was cold and it snowed on and off most of the day. We were blessed with my parents help and the help from two wonderful groups. This time around it felt like we had a better knowledge of how to pack and load and what to expect. When we moved to Coshocton we really had no concept for all the work that goes into moving. We were able to plan and prepare better and loaded the trailer in record time.

The first group came in the morning, several of the MMS guys came to help, they got a lot accomplished before lunch. Jim, in the blue sweatshirt, worked for UPS awhile back and can pack a truck like none other.

After lunch our street was lined with vehicles and another group from Crosspointe church came to help us finish the loading. It was a whirlwind and we were done sooner than we had estimated. We spent our last night in our empty house on the floor and got up early Friday to drive to North Carolina.

We met Brad’s parents on the way down, ate lunch and drove together. God provided a beautiful day for traveling and the most magnificent scenery as we drove through the mountains. We pulled in to the driveway of our new home to see a group from MAG waiting to help us unload. They greeted us with hugs and made us feel right at home. We have been incredibly blessed by all the people who gave of their time to help us move. It would have taken us days, maybe weeks to have done it all ourselves.

Its been a week now. We have unpacked boxes. We have met our wonderful landlord, she’s one amazing lady. We’ve met our other neighbors. We’ve been to the library and the park. We went to Aldi. We have made meals and washed laundry… It’s feeling like a home should feel. What a blessing from the Lord!

If you care to pray specifically, our top prayer request is, finding a church. Tomorrow we are going to go visit one and I pray for the Spirit’s guidance.

So good to read about how God is providing for you. Love how you are listening to the Holy Spirit in His direction for your life. You are an inspiration, you convicted me to go meet our new neighbors that moved in behind us while we were gone, I just kept putting it off. 🙁 We miss you at our meetings but know we are together in Spirit. Praying right now that the Holy Spirit will direct you to the church He wants you to worship at. How silly that sounded we don’t need a church to worship, we do that spontaneously but there is a church where you can be an encouragement and lift up each other together in the Name of Jesus! We love you!!!!! David and Bonnoe

Well good, I’m glad the Lord spoke to you. I know exactly what you mean about putting things off, I don’t do the best sometimes either. We are looking forward to our next trip back and hope to see you!

Praying for your continued transition time as you find a group of believers to worship collectively with. May the Lord reveal to you His truths and promises in your daily walk close to Him.
All for His glory, Dean & Anita
PS enjoy the warmth and sunshine- spring comes sooner in the south 😉

Thank you, Anita, today was lovely at 61 degrees. We have been spending a lot of time outside on the nice days.

I am wondering, Crystal how church service was the place you went to Sunday? Sure enjoy reading your posts and I am sorry I don’t take the time to answer you many times. It sounds like you have a lovely home and landlord…that is a great blessing.

Hi! It was good, the downside is it was 45 minutes away. Its looking like if we want to attend a place that we are semi familiar with its going to be a long drive. Either that or somewhere here in town. Praying for direction.
