I sat in the woods today. It was not a typical day for sitting in the woods, and you can see why by the weather radar map:
Today is a rainy day. It is not raining hard, but it’s one of those rains that you can just tell has made up it’s mind and is not going anywhere.
I don’t normally sit in the woods in the rain, but it gave me a chance to see things I’d not paid attention to before.
A gentle rain makes the woods move in a special way.
The leaves don’t rustle and sway as in the wind, but they twitch and jump just like a fishing bobber on a quiet pond when the hook finds its mark.
Our MAG team has been meeting to discuss how the setbacks of 2020 affect our plans or 2021, and what adjustments we need to make. We ask for your prayers. Everyday life in Honduras is still affected greatly by the fallout of COVID-19, and it creates serious logistical challenges for everyone. We need wisdom to move ahead in obedience to God.
We want to be like the leaves I saw this morning, responding lively to the gentle movement of God’s Spirit.
We are excited that the third family of our Honduras team is joining us in North Carolina today. When they arrive in a few hours, our whole team will be together in one spot. That means we can really get down to the task ahead of us! We have a lot to prepare to deploy to Honduras so we can get back to the work of sharing the story the One who made the woods and sends the rain to water it.

Love and Prayers!
So nice to read an update.
“our whole team will be together.” YAY!! How exciting. Everything you’ve been praying and working and planning for these past years is here! And to think that all those years ago, when you began the journey, God knew that his plans would come to fruition in the midst of a pandemic. I wonder what he has up his sleeve!
