Last week we spent 5 days on the north coast. Well, it was more like 3 days because it takes most of a day just to get there. We found a nice house that was in an absolutely beautiful location. Remote, quiet and next to the beach. Our main purpose for going north was to buy furniture and appliances for our house in la Mosquitia. Brad spent a day and a half trying to locate, price check and haul items to the pier to be put on the boat. He also got to meet a few of our Honduran board members while he was in the city. The kids and I spent time in the ocean and also enjoyed the beautiful fresh water stream that ran beside our house and spilled out into the ocean. All of us and our dog spent hours playing in the sand and swimming. At night, after the kids were in bed, I would take Paco out for a walk and just couldn’t help but to be mesmerized by the stars. It was so dark out there. We were 20 minutes away from the city with the ocean in front and mountains behind. One could almost get lost among the stars. God’s beauty is unfathomable. It’s good to be reminded that God, who is so Majestic and Powerful, the one who moves mountains, the one who clothes the delicate flowers, is our God! He is a God who encompasses all that there is, and ever will be. His love and mercy surrounds us. He is Jehovah Shemma!
“Majesty, worship His Majesty: Unto Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise.
Majesty, kingdom authority, Flow from His throne unto His own, His anthems raise.
So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus.
Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King.
Majesty, worship His Majesty, Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.”
Lyrics: Majesty, Worship His Majesty by Keven Mayhew
On the way home we stopped by the language school and I got to give my former teachers hugs and see them in person. That was not possible when we left last July because of COVID restrictions. It was so very good to connect with them even though it was just for a short time. We also got to see the other two families in our team. They are all making good progress and will be able to join us in la Mosquitia shortly.
Praises:
- After 5 months of being back in Honduras, we finally got our truck in our name.
- Our household goods beginning to arrive in our village in la Mosquitia.
Prayer Points:
- That the airplane would be arriving on schedule.
- The shipping container with tools, parts etc. comes through smoothly and on time.
- Our family as we anticipate a big move with lots of adjustments.
