Let the children come

This month we had the privilege to welcome a family from Missionary Air Group who is here to help out while our other missionary family is on furlough. They have been dear friends of ours for many years, and it’s been a blessing to have them here for a few weeks.

In addition to them coming, they also invited a work team from their church to come for a week. They tackled the task of painting the clinic, replacing the peeling green and yellowed white with a fresh coats of cream and blue. We had a children’s event planned for later in the week and I was hopeful to have the inside of the Learning Center cleaned and painted. The team was so efficient that within a day or two they had cleaned, prepped, sealed and painted the walls and pressure washed the floor to get rid of piles of goat poop and stench from the floor of the Learning Center.

Our local Missionary Air Group pastor, Esau and his wife brought to our village a children’s discipleship class from Samaritans Purse. He and the team helped teach 4 of the 12 lessons in two days and the Learning Center was put to use for the first time. The kids each received a Bible and a workbook. To them, having materials of their own is a big deal.

Day 1, we had a full house. Children were invited from 3 communities.

“but Jesus said, โ€œLet the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.โ€ Matthew: 19:14

Our goal is to continue to go through a lesson in workbook with them every week. Please pray that hearts will be open and receptive to God’s word and that they will grow into spiritually mature men and women, passionate for the pursuit of God! Our prayer is that Rus Rus will be a beacon, sending out locals to reach the communities around us, up and down the Cocoa River.

Hi Crystal, The Childrens Center transformation looks amazing! Now to keep the goats out!๐Ÿ˜œ Having goats, I know how hard that is! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. The Bible lessons & books for each child will plant seeds in their hearts that will grow & be remembered forever! So glad you & your group are being used by God to shine the light of the gospel into their lives at an early age! Please help me pray that our son will see the need to take his 4 young children to church & Sunday School now while their hearts are open to learn about Jesus. Thank you! Ruth

Crystal, The work you do is so important for the Kingdom. Children are at the learning stage to receive these truths.
    Blessings,
