Wouldn’t trade it for anything

Time is ticking away. Minutes are flying by faster than we would like to know. We’ve been here for 12+ weeks already. 3 Months is already gone from our estimated 16-18 months here. Literally, before we know it we will be packing up and saying goodbye to the Carolinas. If I can be frank here, this adjustment has been harder than moving to Coshocton. Finding a church has been a much different experience than we had previously. In Coshocton we visited one church and it felt so much like home we never looked elsewhere. Here it’s been harder, but that doesn’t mean God’s abandoned us. This is a different experience with a different lesson. The move to North Carolina as a whole fits into that category as well.

“What would I change if I could?” Someone asked me recently. I pondered it for a minute. I though over all the wonderful things God had done and all the blessings He has given. Would I change anything? The hard times and times of uncertainty came to mind. Yet they are dimmed in comparison. Could I change anything? It would be nice to live close to family again… Yet in my heart I said a decisive “no” I would not change anything. I say that with certainty because I feel strongly that THIS is where God has called us. He’s brought us on this journey and though it may be hard at times, He is so faithful! I wouldn’t want to trade with anyone or change anything. God is scripting our life and I don’t want to take that away from Him. When we allow Him the raw details of ourselves He may purge us and it may not be comfortable or desirable but who am I to question God? I want to be made into the person He creates me to be!
