Update time

These last few months have been very busy with team/guests. We had a nearly continuous stream of people visiting since our medical brigade. We have had two construction teams, a MAG family visit to see what life is like on the mission field, a dental team, a cousin, a single guy who is looking into mission aviation, and a local missionary family. Somewhere in the midst of all of that our family got to take a much needed getaway which was way overdue.

Our current construction project is to build an additon on the hangar. The MAG office is currently located in one of our three bedrooms and as our kids continue to grow we really are needing that bedroom. Adding onto the hangar is a big project and we have been blessed by the construction teams who came and also the local men who have poured hours and gallons of sweat sifting river sand/gravel to make the concrete blocks and lay the walls.

We love having guests!

Brad has done more preaching lately, and we continue with our weekly kids discipleship class.

Life has been very full, with lots on our plate. We were so grateful to be able to getaway for a bit to have time to rest, mentally, physically and emotionally. This first quarter has had some unique challanges, heartbreak and joys. It isn’t always easy to be here. Isolation is a real thing, the darkness is present, people aren’t perfect. However it is a beautiful culture. We are blessed to be here and to be a part of the community. Being able to pour into the hearts and lives of the local children has been rewarding.

The airplane has also been busy this year. We’ve done a lot more flying for other missionaries working in the area, getting them to remote places of La Mosquitia and bringing in their teams. We love this partnership, because we certainly cannot do the work alone. God is good to provide us with the airplane as a tool for His ministry.

We are looking forward to our furlough and seeing some of you this summer!

I am sure that you are busy. The Lord’s work gets into our bones and drives us to get it done. All of the changes there are really a blessing. I am sure the new office area will be very beneficial.
The Lord’s blessings be upon you and may you find the rest in HIm that is needed for the tasks.
    Love to all,
    Uncle Tom
