Doctors and a sweet reunion

We had a busy week here in Rus Rus. The Lord is answering prayers! We’ve been praying for years that God would send us doctors to help staff the hospital on a more regular basis and He is opening a door that may lead to something wonderful for the people of La Mosquita.

He sent us a lovely Dr. from the states to spend a week and a half here. She and her daughter came with a heart to serve and bless the surrounding communities. Since it wasn’t a brigade with lines and lines of people waiting, the Doctor was able to spend ample time with the patients, their time with her was not just for treatment but also educational. We are hopeful that she will be able to return more in the future.

While the Dr. was busy seeing patients, her daughter who is an artist, painted a mural on the wall in the waiting room. She let the kids help her do some painting also.

During the same week, we also had some dentists come for a few days. During the brigade earlier this year, there were two villages who were not able to be seen by a dentist. The husband/wife team were quite the duo. They proved to be very efficient and the urgent dental needs were taken care of.

The Lord is so good! Here, in La Mosquitia where medical care is basically non existent, we praise the Lord for the time that these Doctors donated to be here.

As we were in the middle of our busy week, something else super exciting happened… the little girl with the burned foot returned home! She couldn’t stop giggling and smiling. Her laugh was contagious as she hugged her family and friends. After spending 2+ months in a big city after growing up in the middle of nowhere I’m sure that she was glad to be back home to normality. Its good to have her back home!

The kids were very excited to see their friend.
Full of smiles!

Praise the Lord for opening doors that MAG has been praying about for years! We pray He continues to open doors that you and every member of our precious missionary team in Rus Rus will have opportunity to share the love of Jesus with this seemly forgotten people. It’s your example of loving each other that the Holy Spirit will use to draw them to the Savior. Because as our Savior said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”‭‭ (John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬-‭35)‬ ‭By their witnessing the way you love unconditionally, it will help them see there is a love beyond what they can understand and the God you tell them about is the true God. We at MAG are so thankful for your dedicated service to our Lord. Our love for you is beyond words! May God spread His Gospel through out all La Mosquitia as you faithfully share His truth.

Loving these photos. Evidence of the difference you’re making, God’s love you’re sharing, and the fruit of your faithful persistence in putting in the hours and years required to make it to Rus Rus. ❤️ Thank you, God, for putting your hands and feet in these unreachable areas, ensuring your kids have their needs met.

Great report. So glad that flying that plane enables these things to happen!

We are too! Getting here without the plane is so much longer and way more complicated. Being able to partner with others and work together is truly a blessing from the Lord.
